So, how do they decide on which poses the Degas ballerinas end up in during the “Little Lotte” routine? It seems to vary from production to production, or sometimes even from cast to cast. Only Madame Giry’s pose seems consistent.
So how does this work? “Pick your favourite Degas painting and pose like it”? “Here’s 20 different options, pick one each”? “This month we’re going for this combo”?
No really, I’m curious.
This is seriously one of my favorite moments in the show.
